Professor Roberto De Philippis is a distinguished academic in Microbial Biotechnology at the University of Florence, Italy. He has served as a Visiting Professor at Wuhan University, China, and is a Past President of the International Society for Applied Phycology. With roles including Associate Editor for the Journal of Applied Phycology and Board member of the International Society for Environmental Biotechnology, he leads the Master Course on Biotechnology for Environmental Management and Sustainable Agriculture at his university.
