Gergely is the Chief Technology Officer at Ficosterra, focused on innovative agricultural solutions. He co-founded Seqomics Ltd. in January 2009, a biotech firm in Hungary. Prior to this, he was a Postdoctoral researcher at the J Craig Venter Institute from March 2006 to September 2007. Gergely holds both a PhD in Biology and a Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular Biology from the University of Szeged. With expertise in genomics and molecular biology, he has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and actively participates in the Blue Bioeconomy Forum and Horizon Europe initiatives.
