This presentation focuses on the isolation and characterization of chlorophyll-deficient mutants of Chlorella vulgaris as novel food feedstocks by GreenCoLab. It covers random mutagenesis, strain selection, and the generation of two chlorophyll-deficient mutants with good growth performance. These mutants exhibit low chlorophyll and high protein content, with the MT01 strain successfully growing in industrial-scale fermenters.
