Vítor Vasconcelos is the President of the Board at CIIMAR (Interdisciplinary Centre of Marine and Environmental Research) in Portugal since January 2013. He has served as the Director of the LEGE Culture Collection since January 1991. He is also a member of the Scientific Council of the National Museum of Natural History in Paris since January 2019 and has been the Executive Director of Bluebio Alliance since April 2019. Vítor holds a PhD in Biology from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (1980-1985).
