Siebren van Tuinen has extensive experience in radiation protection and food safety. Currently serving as the General Radiation Protection Officer at Wageningen University & Research since July 2017, he leads projects related to radioactivity in food and manages monitoring networks. He is also the convenor of the CEN committee 327 on animal feeding stuff radioactivity since February 2017, where he has developed a new European standard in this area. Van Tuinen holds an Ingenieur degree in Applied Physics from the University of Groningen and completed his Environmental Studies there, complemented by Level 2 Radiation Expert Training.
