Rui Pereira is the Head of the Seaweed Division at A4F-Algae for Future, a position he has held since May 2020. With extensive experience in the seaweed sector, he co-founded ALGAplus, focusing on seaweed production and trading, from March 2012 to April 2020. Additionally, he has served as a post-doctoral researcher at CIIMAR (2008-2011) and contributed as a research assistant in marine seaweed biotechnology at the University of Connecticut. Rui holds a Doctorate in Biology from the University of Porto. His expertise encompasses both research and consultancy in the field of marine biotechnology.
