Pilar Llorente Ruiz de Azua is a Programme Officer at Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking, serving as a Project Officer since 2021. With over nine years of experience in managing Horizon 2020 projects focused on the bio-based economy, she previously held roles at the Bio-based Industries Joint Undertaking and IDConsortium as an R&I consultant and project manager. Her earlier experience includes working as a Project Engineer at Westinghouse Electric Company and a trainee at the European Commission's DG Research. She holds a B.Sc and M.Sc in Physics and a Master's in EU Economics and Policies.
