Pi Collén is currently the Scientific Director at Olmix Group and a member of the EABA Industrial board, specialising in seaweed biotechnologies. They obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Plant Physiology from Stockholm University, Sweden, between 1995 and 2000. Their doctoral research focused on red algal starch metabolism, specifically examining the effects of endosymbionts and nutrient status on starch metabolising enzymes.
