Philipp Hess is a researcher at IFREMER's Phycotoxins laboratory in Nantes, France, since 2008. He has held several leadership roles, including Director of Research Unit and Deputy Director of the Pays de la Loire Marine Institute. He leads the Biotoxin Chemistry Team and completed his PhD in Analytical Chemistry from The Robert Gordon University between 1993 and 1998. Hess holds two Habilitations à Diriger des Recherches in Analytical Chemistry and Chemistry in Risk Assessment from the University of Nantes, achieved between 2009 and 2010.
