Marjolein van der Spiegel is a strategic advisor for Novelfood and Feed Compliance at Schuttelaar & Partners since 2016, where she prepares and submits novel food dossiers, liaises with the European Commission and EFSA, and serves as the initiator and secretary of the Dutch Micro-algae Platform. She is a member of the Dutch Mirror Normalisation Committee for algae products and has led several standardisation initiatives with CEN/TC 454. Previously, she was a project leader at Wageningen Food Safety Research and a postdoctoral researcher at Wageningen University, holding both MSc and PhD degrees in Food Technology.
