María Álvarez currently serves as the Head of the Technology Department at Neoalgae Micro Seaweeds Products since August 2013. She is pursuing her PhD in Production, Mining Environmental and Project Engineering at the Universidad de Oviedo (2020-2024). Additionally, she completed a business programme at ThePowerMBA (2019-2020) and holds a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering from the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela (2003-2006). María's academic foundation includes a degree in Biology focused on Environmental Studies from the Universidad de Oviedo (1997-2003).
