Luís Costa, based in Lisbon, Portugal, holds a degree in Biological Engineering (2004) and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering (2008) from the University of Lisbon. He has been with A4F – Algae for Future since 2009 and currently serves as an Executive Board Member, focusing on Operations, Engineering, Biorefinery, and Business Development. Additionally, he is a Board Member at Biotrend, a company specialising in fermentation process optimisation, and has been on the EABA Steering Board since 2018. Luís is a recognised specialist and consultant in industrial microalgae cultivation and biorefinery processes.
