Kiron Viswanath, born in 1961 in Kerala, India, developed a passion for aquatic biology inspired by the region's biodiversity. After completing his studies in India and Japan, he held a position at the Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology until 2004. He then relocated to Bodø, Norway, where he is currently a Professor of Fish Immunobiology and Preventive Health at the Faculty of Biosciences and Aquaculture, Nord University. He is also an accomplished author in his field.
