Helena P. Felgueiras is a Biomedical Engineer with a Master’s degree in Biomaterials, Biomechanics, and Rehabilitation from Universidade do Minho (2011) and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering, specialising in Biomaterials from Université Paris 13 (2014). Her research interests include the functionalization of biomedical surfaces with bioactive substances and the analysis of cellular events at interfaces. Currently, as an Auxiliary Researcher at the Centre for Textile Science and Technology, University of Minho, she focuses on developing new treatment methods for chronic wounds using bioactive molecules paired with biodegradable polymeric matrices.
