Haim Trebes is a post-doctoral researcher at the Max-Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology, where he examines the factors limiting the growth rate of photosynthetic organisms and the role of photosynthesis-associated metabolism in these constraints. He completed his PhD at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, focusing on the remarkable resistance and growth rate of the desert alga Chlorella ohadii, named in honour of the esteemed plant physiologist, Prof. Itzhak Ohad.
