Francisca Suárez Estrella graduated in Biological Sciences in 1992 from the University of Granada. She served as an internal student in the Department of Microbiology from 1995 to 1997 and later secured a pre-doctoral scholarship at the University of Almería, where she completed her PhD in 2001. Since 2002, she has taught various subjects in multiple degrees, including Nursing and Environmental Sciences. Currently, as a full professor and coordinator of the Biotechnology Degree at the University of Almería, she teaches subjects such as Molecular Plant Pathology and Virology. Her research since 1998 focuses on the BIO-175 group.
