Douglas McKenzie is an accomplished entrepreneur and the founder of Xanthella Ltd, a start-up that utilises algae as a feedstock for industrial products. He is also a Partner at McKenzie and Mitchell, a business consultancy firm. Previously, as Founder, Director, and CEO of Integrin, he received two innovation awards and expanded the company from two to approximately 50 employees, achieving a turnover of nearly £3M. Douglas holds a PhD and MSc in Zoology from Queen's University Belfast and a BSc in Zoology from the University of Glasgow.
