Professor Delin Duan, currently at the Institute of Oceanology, CAS, specialises in algal phylogenetics, evolution, and genome adaptation. His expertise encompasses seaweed genetics and breeding, as well as the development and functional components of seaweeds, including nursery and aquaculture practices. He has held various distinguished visiting professorships at prominent institutions such as Hokkaido University, Harvard University, Stanford University, and Tohoku University, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Tokyo University between 1996 and 1999.
