Christophe Derrien is the Secretary General of the International Platform of Insects for Food and Feed (IPIFF) since August 2016. He previously served as an EU Affairs Advisor at Schuttelaar & Partners from January 2014 to July 2016, and as a Policy Advisor with COPA-COGECA from March 2009 to January 2013. His early experience includes an internship at the European Commission's DG Agriculture. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Law with a focus on Agri-food Law from Université de Nantes (2008) and a Master’s degree in European Law from Université de Rennes I (2007).
