Alan T. Critchley is an experienced researcher in the renewables and environment industry, specialising in Biotechnology and Research and Development. He holds a PhD in Marine Biology from Portsmouth University. Currently a Research Fellow at the Verschuren Centre for Sustainability, he has previously held significant roles, including Vice President of Research at Acadian Seaplants and Manager of the New Raw Materials Laboratory at Degussa Texturant Systems. His academic positions include Research Professor and Deputy Director at the University of Namibia and Associate Professor at the University of the Witwatersrand.
