This presentation outlines the SPIRALG project, focused on the production of phycocyanin from Spirulina biomass (Arthrospira sp.). It revisits the sourcing, extraction, and co-valorization of whole algae within an industrial biorefinery framework. The workplan and specific tasks are discussed, highlighting innovative approaches to sustainable algae utilization.
