This presentation presents a systematic review of stakeholder beliefs regarding alternative proteins, focusing on keywords such as insects, algae, cultured meat, cellular agriculture, and plant-based options. It categorizes beliefs into three groups: utilitarian beliefs (environment, economics, animal welfare, health, food security), normative beliefs (influences from institutions, social groups, consumers), and control beliefs (prices, sensory aspects, naturalness, regulations, communication). Stakeholders face a complex market transition, with the future of algae proteins reliant on policymakers, research and consumer awareness.
