Professor Timo Niedermeyer has been a Professor of Pharmaceutical Biology at the University of Halle-Wittenberg since 2017, specialising in Natural Product Chemistry with an emphasis on secondary metabolites from cyanobacteria. Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor at Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen and as Head of Natural Product Chemistry at Cyano Biotech GmbH. He holds a Staatsexamen in Pharmacy from Freie Universität Berlin and a doctorate in Pharmacognosy from Ernst-Moritz-Arndt University of Greifswald, complemented by a specialisation in Analytical Chemistry and Spectroscopy from the University of Leipzig.
