Sebastien Jan has been the Director of East Coast Ocean-Farmers since 2021. His passion for the ocean led him to Madagascar from 2004 to 2009, where he began his career as a marine biologist and contributed to establishing seaweed farming for the phycocolloids industry. Before joining Ocean Farmers, he spent 12 years at Cargill as a strategic sourcing project and sustainability manager in the carrageenan sector. Sebastien has travelled extensively, leveraging his technical expertise to implement innovative projects and deepen his understanding of the seaweed market, aiming to foster sustainable practices in Madagascar.
