Carlos Unamunzaga is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the marine sciences and microalgae sectors. He co-founded Fitoplancton Marino, S.L. in 2002, serving as CSO until 2011 and then as CEO until 2023. He is also a co-founder of GMPC, LLC and Blugenics Innovations, Inc., with board roles in both companies from 2010 to 2023. Currently, he is the President of the European Algae Biomass Association since December 2022. Carlos holds a Master’s Degree in Marine Sciences from the University of Cadiz and another in Internationalization of SMEs from EOI Business School.
